The Natural Resources Stewardship Programme II (NatuReS II) promotes partnerships between the private and public sectors as well as civil society for the sustainable use and management of natural resources, and for a socio-ecological transformation in support of sustainable economic development.
As part of the programme, greenstorming supported the GIZ team in 2025 with concept consulting, implementation and facilitation, as well as the documentation of two multi-day regional workshops. The workshops took place in June in Hawassa, Ethiopia, and in September in Lusaka, Zambia, and served as an exchange platform for the partner countries Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa and Tanzania. The aim of the workshops is to strengthen Stewardship Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (SMSPs) by presenting and discussing experiences and good practices in order to promote collective action and cooperation between different actors for the sustainable management of natural resources.
Each workshop included expert presentations, expert Q&As, a marketplace of opportunities and speed-dating formats, as well as local field trips to give participants first-hand insights into the implementation of local SMSPs.
