The programme 100xDigital, run by the German Foundation for Engagement and Volunteering (Deutsche Stiftung für Engagement und Ehrenamt, DSEE) supports 100 non-profit organizations throughout Germany every year in their further development in the digital transformation. The 100xDigital Community Convention is held every year to encourage the funded projects to share their experiences. In 2024, Essen was chosen as the location for the event. A particular highlight was the use of wireless headphones, which made it possible for various groups to use the main room at the same time. In addition to the scheduled presentations, an open space also allowed for spontaneous input, while information and advisory services rounded off the programme.
