The Working Group on Peace and Development (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frieden und Entwicklung, FriEnt) held the sixth FriEnt Peacebuilding Forum on June 5–6, 2024, in Berlin.

More than 150 participants from 37 countries discussed three overarching topics: Peace & Security, Peace & Climate, and Feminist Peacebuilding.

Attendees included national and international government institutions, parliamentarians, civil society organizations, peace activists, and international partner networks of FriEnt member organizations. Together, they reaffirmed the peacebuilding community’s commitment to influencing political debates and strengthening narratives that promote peace. The conference program included keynotes, panel discussions, interactive formats, and working groups, offering networking opportunities in an inclusive environment.

The Working Group on Peace and Development is an alliance of governmental organizations, church-based development organizations, civil society networks, and political foundations.
