15th International Economic Forum on Africa

is an annual conference organized by the OECD Development Centre in Paris. As president of the G7, the German government cooperated on the event and hosted the first Berlin Africa Forum. High-ranking international experts like President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama, former UN General Secretary Kofi Annan, former President of Germany Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler and Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dr. Gerd Müller addressed over 500 guests on matters of Africa Beyond 2015.

Living well in Germany - What's important to us

The Federal Government is engaging its citizens in a dialogue under the umbrella of this motto. During two public dialogues in Freising (Bavaria) and Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf (Brandenburg), citizens were given the opportunity to speak with Dr. Gerd Müller, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, about current development policy issues like tackling the global refugee crisis and sustainable consumption and come up with suggestions and possible solutions for future challenges.

#acceleratedenergyrevolution: the Digitalization of the Energy World

was the kick-off event for a cooperation between LichtBlick and WWF Germany on 30 June 2015. Guests discussed developments in the energy revolution together with experts in the fields of economics, policy and civil society. During status debates, guests were given the opportunity to communicate with the experts to address the present challenges facing the energy revolution.

50 Years of WWF Germany

On 5 June 2013, more than 1000 guests gathered together at Berlin’s Kalkscheune for a once in a lifetime opportunity. For one whole day, WWF Germany invited guests to participate in a series of discussions on how “The Future Begins Today”. It also presented its campaigns: from the Amazon to the Wadden Sea to tiger conservation and youth work.

Excursion to the Middle East

 

In November 2013, representatives of the German Federal Foreign Office, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH took an excursion to Lebanon and Jordan spanning several days. The goal of the trip was to inform those involved of the challenges and potential of supporting education and vocational training in fragile states.

German Canadian Concourse 2012/13

 

In fall 2012, the CMG-AF launched a new and innovative Canadian-German conference series: the German Canadian Concourse (GCC), which took place in 2012 and 2013 at the Canadian Embassy in Berlin.

In cooperation with Inforadio (rbb), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH hosts the evening panel discussion series “Aus der Praxis der GIZ“ (From the Experience of the GIZ) several times a year at the GIZ Representation in Berlin.
